Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening Price Drop or Sale?

August 9th, 2010

Microsoft had previously announced the Deal of the Week for August 9, 2010 and August 16, 2010 but this morning I found that part of that deal was also available to Silver members:

Update: The original ms Press release stated the sale price for this would be 2400 MS points, when it is actually 1600 MS Points.  Thus this is looking like a price drop and if you have gold get it during the next two weeks for the sale price of 1600 MS Points.

Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening

  • Released: 3/16/2010
  • Old Price: 3200
  • New Price: 2400
  • REQUIRES LATEST TITLE UPDATE FOR DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS (installed automatically if you play while connected to Xbox LIVE). The archdemon lies dead–and yet in coastal Amaranthine, strange darkspawn still plague the land. As the newly appointed commander of the Grey Wardens, you must rebuild your shattered stronghold, recruit new Wardens to the cause, and defeat this terrifying menace. Includes: (1) A brand new campaign. (2) Five new party members — plus the return of an old favorite. (3) Six new specializations. (4) Nearly 70 new player abilities. To begin this epic adventure: From the main menu, select New Game, then either import your character from Dragon Age: Origins or create a new, high-level hero! There are no refunds for this item. For more information, see www.xbox.com/live/accounts.

Again I am not sure if this is a Price Drop, actual sale for Silver members or a mistake by Microsoft.
