Microsoft Adding Credit Card Payment for Xbox Live Arcade?

August 27th, 2010

This morning I noticed some very interesting changes to the Magic: The Gathering Xbox Live Arcade Marketplace web page.  These changes seem to indicate Microsoft is getting ready to start allowing customers to purchase Xbox Live Arcade games with credit cards.

I’m not sure Microsoft plans to roll Xbox Live Marketplace credit card purchases out but it is already supported for Games on Demand so it is technically possible.  This should also alleviate complaints from the community that Microsoft is trying to deceive users with non standard point values.

Personally I prefer purchasing with points.  I can get points on sale but I’ve never been able to purchase money on sale.
